Judges Comments

The YouTube Broadcast about Miss Rwanda won the Community Support to Reading
award. This was considered a good example of what was expected from journalists
and social media influencers; namely, including NRC message in whatever your topic
is to reach even people who are not interested in reading or watching literacy news.
Within a broadcast about Miss Rwanda 2020, Gentil Gedeo included a message
about NRC, showing numbers of children who don’t know how to read in sub-Saharan
Africa, and explaining the data in simple to understand words with clear examples.
